Welcome to Sam Farmer Art — my online gallery
I am a visual artist and creator based in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire, Wales. My work is inspired by my surroundings, my relationships, and an innate sense of fun and vibrancy — nurtured over 25 years of teaching primary school before I followed my passion for art full-time.
I love projects that allow me to weave my love for painting, illustration, and craft into broader themes that spark my curiosity. One of my current projects is a children’s book about a puffin who lives on the island of Skomer, featuring many of my original paintings of Pembrokeshire.
Creating personal art is a privilege. There’s little I enjoy more than hearing people’s ideas for their own projects and being commissioned to craft original pieces that capture the essence of important memories and stories. These artworks hold deep personal meaning for my clients, and I feel honoured to use my skills and eye for detail to bring them to life in a unique way.
Stylistically, my work is characterised by vibrancy, a sense of groundedness, and a deep love for the great outdoors.

Here you’ll find a selection of recent works—pieces shaped by long walks, changing seasons, and the quiet moments that speak loudest. Each one holds a bit of the wild West, a whisper of childhood magic, and a love for the land that raised me.
